• Dr. Kálmán Kulcsár, academician, reserach professor of IPS HAS deceased on 4 September, at the age of 82.
• Larissa Yurasova, Senior Research Fellow at the Russian Strategic Research Institute is working at IPS HAS between 1–30 September as guest researcher. Her main research field is the changes of Hungarian elite groups after the political system change.
• Imre Kovách and Bernadett Csurgó participates in the opening meeting of the project Lagging behind or LEADER in Local Democracy? at the Swedish School for Social Sciences (University of Helsinki) between 29 August and 1 September.
• János Simon will give papers on 1-4 July on democracy in Hungary at the 9th Summer University in Kishegyes, Voivodina (Serbia), and he will participate at the Summer University in Tusnádfürdő (Romania) between 20 and 25 July.
